Welcome to the WGC Music Department

Instrumental Music Lessons:

If you take Music as an option in Years 10-13 it is compulsory for you to be learning an instrument from a qualified teacher outside of class time.

We currently offer tuition in the following:
Piano, Voice, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Flute, Clarinet and Drum kit.  (Lessons may be available on other instruments on request.)

Instrumental lessons are held once a week for 20-30 minutes duration.  The lessons are generally held during class time and on occasions during breaks.

Students wishing to take lessons need to complete the “Instrumental permission form” have it signed by their parent or caregiver and return it to the student helpdesk.  The form can be downloaded (from the right) and printed or copies are available from the school office.

Music Practice Rooms and Instruments:

Music practice rooms and some instruments may be available for use during break times and after school.  Students are required to organise times and instrument use with the Music Teacher.

The WGC Choir

The choir rehearses once a week during 1st break.
